About Bear Creek Environmental

Founded in January 2004, Bear Creek Environmental is a multidisciplinary firm, located in Middlesex, Vermont, which provides consulting services in aquatic biology, geomorphology, erosion control, and water quality monitoring and assessments.

The company was founded by Mary Nealon who has over 25 years of experience in the environmental field. Ms. Nealon has a Bachelor of Science in biology from Allegeny College and a Master of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Vermont. She is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.

Ms. Nealon has considerable experience performing stream geomorphic assessments and has designed numerous stream and wetland restoration projects in Vermont. She has completed the River Morphology and Applications and the Applied Fluvial Geomorphology Short Courses from Dave Rosgen of Wildland Hydrology, and has attended Phase 2 Training Courses, and a Bridge and Culvert Assessment workshop sponsored by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation.
